What is the Magic Core Implant?
MagiCore is a standard implant produced by IBS (Innobiosurg) that is a tissue level implant. It’s a straight implant with square threads and doesn’t have a hole or grooves at the apex of the implant.IBS매직코어임플란트
The Magic Core implant is designed with full restoration in mind. It has a minimal 2mm post height that reduces the difference in elasticity between fin threads and alveolar bone, significantly decreasing the risk of micro-fractures.

MagiCore has the advantage of being able to be placed immediately in extraction sites without the waiting period for osseointegration. It also doesn’t require any additional augmentation with bone replacement material. Furthermore, it’s highly stable thanks to the unique hex connection and RBM surface treatment which increases the BIC. This is made possible by the fact that the Magic Core implant reaches the basal/cortical bone, where there’s a high propensity for resolution and which has been proven to have excellent stability. The topographical and physical characteristics of the MagiCore implant (MC, InnosBioSurg) were compared to those of a gold standard implant, Nobel Parallele (NBTM, Nobel Biocare). The surface was characterized using scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy mode. The roughness values were measured with an optical profilometer (Altimet Altisurf500, Phenix V2 software, ALTIMET).
Cell characterization with human gingiva fibroblasts and osteoblast-like cells showed similar morphology on both surfaces and arithmetic average roughness values were equivalent for both implant models. This demonstrates that the MagiCore implant is suitable for clinical application and that its topographical surface is biologically compatible. Consequently, it could be a powerful alternative to grafting.
